As part of the Green Compass: Climate-Friendly Living Through Digital Steps eTwinning project, the “Chain Manifesto” activity was successfully implemented as the January activity. Within the scope of this activity, students collaborated to create a joint digital product focusing on environmental awareness and sustainable living, with the participation of project partners from Türkiye, Italy, Greece, and Romania.

During the activity, students from each partner school prepared manifesto statements related to environmental protection, responsibility, and climate-friendly living. Following in-school discussions, evaluations, and voting processes, one manifesto statement representing each school was selected and shared with the project coordinator. The selected statements were then combined into a sequential digital flow using the Genially platform, resulting in the joint product titled the “Chain Manifesto.”

The manifesto was designed according to a chain structure, allowing users to navigate through the content only by using the “next” buttons. This structure ensures that each statement is read in sequence, preventing users from skipping ahead without reading the previous message. In this way, each partner’s contribution became an essential part of the manifesto, reinforcing the collaborative nature of the product.

Through this activity, the project aimed to help students:

• develop awareness of environmental sustainability,

• take responsibility and participate in democratic decision-making processes,

• collaborate with international teams to create a shared digital product.

The “Chain Manifesto” activity contributed to students’ development not only as environmentally conscious individuals but also as active and responsible global citizens. Throughout the project, similar collaborative and value-based activities will continue to support the learning process.
